Passing the Microsoft Azure AI Certification (AI-900)
As artificial intelligence but I still prefer the augmented intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionize our modern world, it's no surprise that I should validate my knowledge. I am excited to share that I recently passed the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals exam! This achievement has not only boosted my confidence but also equipped me with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the ever-growing world of AI.
What led me to AI-900:
My journey towards the AI-900 certification began with a strong desire to utilize Power Virtual Agents. I had started with AI and Machine Learning earlier in my career but didn’t stick at that time as accessible tools were still limited. Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals provided the perfect platform for me to learn about AI concepts, services, and tools offered by Microsoft Azure.
How I prepared for the Exam:
To prepare for the AI-900 exam, I followed a structured approach, focusing on the key exam elements:
AI Workloads and Considerations: I familiarized myself with the common AI workloads, responsible AI practices, and guiding principles for AI implementation.
Fundamental AI Concepts: I delved into core AI concepts, such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and conversational AI.
Azure AI Services: I explored various Azure AI services, including Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Bot Service.
Azure AI Tools and Solutions: I gained hands-on experience with Azure AI tools, like Azure Machine Learning Studio and Azure Cognitive Search, to build custom AI solutions.
Please note that I did at some point, purchased some Azure credits because I was just having fun with it, although it may not be necessary.
To supplement my learning, I utilized Microsoft's learning resources, like Microsoft Learn. Practice exams also played a crucial role in reinforcing my understanding of the material and identifying areas where I needed to focus. As of this writing, Microsoft provided free practice exam.
The Day of Taking the Exam:
On the day of the exam, it is a proctored exam and I did so from the comfort of my home, however, you have to adhere to the absolute requirement. The exam comprised of scenario-based questions, case studies, and multiple-choice questions. At some point, I did struggle with some of the Machine Learning methods, so I know that I need to continue to study behind Machine Learning. I was very confident with the Cognitive Services, like Natural Language Processing including Microsoft’s Language studio.
What’s Ahead:
As AI continues to reshape our world, I am excited to be part of this dynamic field and contribute to the future of technology. I am looking forward to putting what I’ve learn, continue to learn more, and apply to real-world practices.
Conclusion:
If you're considering a career in AI or want to enhance your skills, I highly recommend pursuing this certification. It may be challenging, but the skills and knowledge gained will undoubtedly open doors to new opportunities and growth in the world of AI. The next step is to study and plan for the AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI solution.
