Power Virtual Agent - Boost Conversation with GPT and Azure AI
The discussion around Artificial Intelligence continues to thrive in our modern world. But I would like to shift the term “AI” from Artificial to Augmented. The way people who have been using these tools have been augmenting their tasks and day to day things, rather than entirely replacing things ‘artificially’.
With that, Microsoft recently announced an extended functionality within Power Virtual Agent, utilizing GPT and Azure AI. So this blog will help you get started.
Note: The boost conversation with GPT and Azure AI is in preview. As of this writing, you will not be able to publish your bot.
To get started, Create a Bot and choose “Try the unified canvas (preview)” option.
Give your bot a nice name that’s relevant. The language is English by default at this time. With the third field, provide a website that your bot will use to boost the conversation and where it would generate a response.
There are a few things to consider when choosing a website:
Ensure the site you choose is indexed or can be found by Bing
Keep the levels no more than two levels or query strings. Example: www.contoso.com/page/page
Don’t use forum sites where there are user comments
Ensure the content of your website is accurate
With my example below, I gave my bot the name of DynamicGPT and I will be using Microsoft’s Learn website for my DynamicGPT to boost the conversation and then click Create.
When the bot is created, you are ready to play with it. So let’s test the Boost conversation by asking something that may be relevant within the website you choose.
With the example below, I asked my DynamicGPT bot, “How would you create a Sales Order in Business Central.”. The chatbot used the website ‘learn.microsoft.com’ to respond based upon my input. I find this feature an exciting one! I’m excited of the future of how we can utilize Augmented Intelligence in our lives!
