I Passed MB-800, What’s Next?!

See this content in the original post

If you have been following my blog lately, I recently wrote about passing the MB-800 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant certification. It was about time for me to take it. I procrastinated getting the MB-800 for quite a while but now, it had become a requirement.

Early this year, Microsoft announced the Microsoft Partner Program is going to change in the way of Partner Capability. Brad and I discussed this during our recent Podcast episode when I recapped the Microsoft Inspire event that I was attending. Microsoft announced that partners should have their staff certified. If you are a Business Central Functional consultant, you had one certification that you need to achieve, the MB-800. That should be at minimum. Then you renew it yearly by way of virtual test and non-proctored.

But what if you already passed it? What’s next for you? Well, you can stick with just MB-800 or you can go start learning about Power Platform. Power Platform fell under the Business Application category for advanced certifications whereas MB-800 is considered intermediate. There is also a lot to learn about Power Platform, giving you an edge to provide another avenue of solutions to your clients.

I haven’t worked on Power Platform officially besides playing around with it. But I am determined to learning the products, starting with PL-900 for Power Platform Fundamentals.
